Hi everyone, I have just completed a lovely big bear and he is ready to find a new home. Blue Boy is made from a beautiful variegated kurl mohair, in shades of blue, mauve, purple with small touches of tan.

He is 5 way jointed with black German glass eyes, a hand stitch nose which has been lightly waxed & blue felt footpads..slightly darker than the picture. He is filled with polyfil and plastic pellets.

Blue Boy is a great big cuddly fellow measuring 50cms (20inches)

Hi Everyone, after quite some time I have started making bears again and this sweet little guy is named Oliver. He is made from a rich honey gold Schulte mohair with matching ultra suede paw pads. He has amber German glass eyes and is softly filled with polyfil and plastic pellets. Oliver is 42 cms (approx 16 inches) and is 5 way jointed with a cotter pin neck joint. He is very soft and huggable.
Oliver is a collectible artist bear with small parts and therefore not suitable for children.

JAMIE & SEBASTIAN have been adopted together.

After a long break from bearmaking due to family commitments and moving house after 30 years (ugh!what a nightmare) I am finally getting back into creating some new teddies.

This little fellow is the smallest teddy I have made so far. He is a real sweetheart, and I'm over the moon with how he turned out. Jamie is made from short pale beige German mohair, is 5 way jointed, with a perle cotton stitched nose and measures 13cms approx 5ins from head to toe.

He has been aged to reflect a little old vintage bear & is filled with polyfill & glass beads. Jamie has a tiny vintage bell with leather cord around his little neck.

Jamie is a collectible artist bear with small parts and therefore not suitable for children.


All my teddies arrive at their new homes with a personalised Densteds hang tag.

Looking forward to Spring...Pictures of my garden

I live on a 30 acre property and my house is on top of a hill with 360 degree views, it's just beautiful to look out all over the country side, but it's been so cold here this past week, that I'm really looking forward to Spring and seeing my garden burst into bloom again. I love the wood fire and keeping warm inside but it's been  bitterly cold outside and everything looks dead, so to cheer myself up I've just added a new pretty background template and a few pictures of my garden that I took last spring. I hope you enjoy looking at them.

Winter Downunder

It's winter in Australia, and although it doesn't snow where I live, it certainly has been cold  with lots of snow on the mountains not far from me, so I thought I'd get into the swing of things with a new winter template.......In Oz we love to celebrate Christmas in July, and many restaurants and shops really get into the Christmas theme...so at this special time,  I always take the opportunity to visit an amazing store called The Country Shoppe at Lawson in the Blue Mountains....I have to say it is my very favourite shop & is owned by Rick Rutherford, who for years was the editor of a magazine called Australian Country Collections. Rick really gets into the Yulefest theme and decorates his shop to the hilt with everything festive...it's a joy to visit at anytime, but at this time it is something very special....  The lovely vintage house which plays host to Rick's retail therapy extravaganza is called Badger House...there are about 8 rooms, all beautifully decorated with all things country, shabby & chic. Autumn! My Favourite time of Year.

I have a new background on my blog, it's nice and bright & cheery, and seeing it's now Autumn in Australia I thought it very appropriate....... it's still very hot at 32 celsius today, so  I'm sure  looking forward to some cooler autumn days after a hot, steamy and very wet summer.
Back in the bear room, I'm just finishing off two more bears, one is a little tatty vintage fellow, only 7.5 inches in a blue sparse mohair, and the other  is a 15 inch more contemporary guy, made from a luxurious wavy mohair in shades of browns & beige... I'll be listing them both on Ebay within the next couple of days so I hope you'll pop back again to have a peek.

Finally a New Bear on the Horizon

A big hello to all & welcome to my new blog...I'm still finding my way around, so I hope you'll be patient, if there's  few boo boos, here and there........After many months of, how shall I put it, "great slackness" on my part,  I've finally finished a new bear..he's a very vintage old ted, well aged and looking like he desperately needs a loving home....I'm.just putting the finishing touches on him and taking some photos then  I'll post a picture and he'll be listed on ebay, sooooo!, if he looks like the sort of little fellow that might fit into your hugs, just click on the ebay link or email me.
